Assignment #1: Shopping Carts

  1. What are the 2 biggest reasons people still shop at stores?                                                                     a)There is no product disappointment- while shopping in a store you always know what you are getting!   b) You can socialize while shopping with friends- you have a good time!!
  2. What are the 2 biggest reasons people shop online?                                                                             - So they won't have to leave they comfort of there own home!                                                                     - It is much easier to find things- the items are categorized
  3. If you had the ability which buying experience would you prefer and why?                                         - I'm would prefer to go to the store just so that i no what I'm really getting. A lot of the time there is false advertisement on the web so i just think it is a simpler way. plus i like to socialize while shopping!!
  4. Will online shopping be the only method in 2050 or will people gradually return to stores or strike a balance? Why?                                                                                                                                          -I believe that there will always be in store shopping because it is just the most simple thing to do if you do want to know what your getting. Plus as i think about it not everyone likes you using a debt card or a credit card so I think that you will always be able to shop at the store.
  5. Canada Post has been crippled by the lack of letter sending due to social media and emails etc..... They have decided to focus now mainly on digital shopping and delivering the purchased products. Is this a smart business plan change? Why or why not?                                                       -Yes i do think this a smart business plan because even though a lot of people still shop in store, a lot of people still shop online to. So if you think about it there is still going to be a lot of advancements with technology so really it is the only way for them to keep there business going.
  6. If something is wrong with your product it is far easier to return it to a physical store. Suggest one way that online shopping could make their return process easier for the buyer and make physical stores even less meaningful.                                                                                                       -There could be a an option online where if you needed to return your product you could just click a button next to your order form that say needs to be returned and a list of reasons why. It would just be a very quick and easy process to do.
